Meet our 2021 Writers:
Virtually or in-person!
Come meet our musical theatre writers this summer - our 10th anniversary! We're having two events live on YouTube and two in-person in the Hudson Valley.

Show Synopsis
In 1943, Sophie, a young German student, joins a youth-led anti-Nazi resistance group. She is arrested, tried and executed for denouncing the Nazi regime. In present-day America, the US is under a nationalist regime with uncanny parallels to Germany’s past. Sophie, a young American student, joins a student-led resistance movement. As time and place shift around her, she refuses to be silenced. Based on the life and experiences of Sophie Scholl, WE WILL NOT BE SILENT explores and honors youth resistance past, present, and future.
The first "Meet the Writers" will be in person, with Dramatists Guild Fellows David Gomez and John-Michael Lyles, writers of SHOOT FOR THE MOON. You'll be outside for the entire event. We'll start with some light food and drinks, and then the writers will tell us about their new musical, set in 1920s Harlem Renaissance, and share a few songs. You can find more details about the writers and their musical here.

When: Saturday, July 10 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Where: 7 Hummingbird Way, Staatsburg, NY 12580
RSVP: RSVP is required so we have a headcount at rsvp@rhinebeckwriters.org. In the event of bad weather, we will email you that morning to cancel.

and we respectfully request that all our guests be vaccinated as well.
